Consider becoming a friend of The Saartjie Project.  We are poised for tremendous growth and impact. Your contribution will help sustain us as we scale our production and community-based programs. Please join us.

The Saartjie Project is a growing collective of artists and activists using original performance art to build community.  We infuse song, dance, visual art, spoken word and drama into a collective personal story that reclaims the history and humanity Saartjie (Sara) Baartman.

We are in a wonderful position to create dynamic new performance works that continue to build community through the arts. Even though our focus is on the black female form we realize that Saartjie Baartman’s story crosses time, ethnicity and gender boundaries. Our work benefits a multi-cultural audience and explores the many ways performance can improve community. Your support will make our programs a continuing, growing reality.
